Reflecting on a great weekend of being present. Got to spend some time with my old friend @vadensomers around his #offgridcabin in northern Alberta @chagaridge and disconnect to reconnect. I’ve learned that in order to help others you must first help yourself. Prioritizing your own needs can sometimes blur the lines between self care and selfishness. Being in service to others requires you to show up but if you are not your best aren’t you shortchanging your efforts and minimizing your potential impact? In order to tap into the source you must tap into yourself because you are source. Everything is connected and increasing your vibration increases the collective. In short take time to set a positive start to your day. Honesty is always the best policy and it’s best to just be up front about a situation rather than dwell on it. In travel and in life you always have to risk having a bad experience. I don’t even know why they bother painting lines on the road. This clip is from my solo adventure in 2019. I rented my own tuk tuk for a month and drove around the island. This type of driving was a daily occurrence and you just had to learn to stay alive.

Forgot to post this little adventure from a couple months back. Which reminds me of one of the things about solo travelling that I love the most. You talk to strangers. In this case I spoke to a couple of guys I met at a restaurant and they mentioned that this experience was one of their favourites. Had I not opened my mouth I may have not have heard of it since I don’t really research much and enjoy letting these opportunities come to me in the form of word of mouth. Not saying plans aren’t good just that they tend to make you too rigid. I like to just show up, free flow and then let life take me where it wants. In life you should never grip the wheel too tight. Have a general sense of direction but allow the road to cajole you into a more serendipitous route.
