We were in Mom and Stephen’s room having our makeshift dinner, then Livy and I went back to our room to hang with Mr Bean. We looked in all the usual spots, the window sill, under the bed, his litter box, he wasn’t anywhere to be found. Then we spotted him. He has found shelter!

Today I will sit quietly, I will be in my thoughts, I will be remembering the heroes and the victims. I will say their names in my head as they are read on tv as they are every year. I will light a candle and pray to the angels above. I will never forget! I will remember who did this to us and why, and I will make sure Liv understands who the enemy of democracy is.

Remember what life was like 23 years ago today? I do. That’s when we didn’t know what terrorism was really like on American soil. We didn’t even realize what a luxury we were living. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about what Al Qaeda did to us as a nation. And not a day goes by when I dont think that they want to do it again. Can we all not agree that terrorism in any way is not the American way? Don’t force your religion, your beliefs, your way of life on me and mine, this is The Land of The Free! And whatever you do, don’t forget!
