Come with me to set! My pre-set prep works for me, but might not work for everybody (don’t forget to stay hydrated and eat a good breakfast though or you’ll probably get a headache or feel faint and you don’t generally get to choose your breaks 👀). Every time I do a job, I learn from my mistakes/adapt something new into my routine. Most importantly though is remembering that the final images are the results of hours of work from makeup & hair artists, stylists, production teams, clients, agents, photographers, videographers, editors, assistants, and more. Part of my responsibility is to make sure I show up ready and as a blank, clean slate to make everyone else’s job easier. However, when I show up for the day I don’t look like the final image, and when I leave for the day I don’t look like the final image; I still have freckles, zits, wrinkles, body hair, stretch marks and everything else so never compare yourself to anyone else or against what you see on the internet :)
