You led by example, a mentor, a coach, and most importantly, a friend. We will cherish each and every practice, pep talk, and lesson, while holding the figure of you standing at the end of every single finish line waiting for us as a most precious memory. You not only made us better athletes, but better people, and I would give anything to be able to tell you that in person. Even though you’re no longer here, your heart and your soul are, they live on every day, woven into each and every person who has had the honour of knowing you and being coached by you. I will carry your lessons with me forever, and I will never forget all that you gave to those around you. May your light always shine and your presence always be felt.
